E-CUBE DATA STATION

The DataStation E3 is a data concentrator (Data Logger).

It collects the information from various measuring equipment:
Sensors, electric meter or fluid counter, pulse concentrators, PLC's, etc ..

With an ARM core Linux OS, it has a powerful processing intelligence that allows it to filter, calculate and store information before sending the software E3Manager.

E-CUBE LINK

E3 Link : the protocol of communication resulting from the experience of exhibition centres (processing capacity of 3000 terminals in real time).

E-cube Link transmits safely and in real time the data collected to e-cube Manager, thanks to wireless or landline communication networks.

E-CUBE MANAGER

The software is a multi DataStation E3 administration console.
It also allows to view data in different forms with a simple and efficient access.

E3Manager stores data in a SQL or PostgreSQL open source database in SAS mode or on a local server
It has multiple interfaces to make data available to external software processing and analysis.

System performance

The DataStation E3 manages three types of data:

Primary data (Dcpt):

These are the data collected from the meters or connected to the DataStation E3.
The recovery of the primary data is made at a speed depending on the number and performance counters.
Speed recovery and data integration in the DataStation E3 is 500ms maximum for 100ms maximum frames at a transmission speed of 38,400 bits / s.

In addition to the index, DataStation E3 can integrate up to 8 electrical quantities for each phase, 24 sizes in total.

Continuously transmitted data (Dt) :

The data continuously transmitted are calculated from primary data from the meters over a period of time.

The user has the choice between two frequency calculation every 10 minutes (FMax) or every 60 minutes (FMin).

The DataStation E3 calculates on the period chosen the Max, Min and Average of each size.

Dt data are transmitted to the software E3Manager at the frequency chosen by the user (Fmax or Fmin).
In addition to the calculated data, the DataStation E3 sends the index counters at the same frequency as that chosen by the user.

Data transmitted on Events (Devent) :

Each DataStation E3 has an automatic frequency variation mechanism based on exceeded preset thresholds.

The frequency of calculating Devent data is faster than the data Dt.
The wind shadow data is calculated every minute to Fmax and every 10 minutes at LRL and stored in flash memory of the DataStation E3 in FIFO (First In First Out).

The data is transmitted to Devent E3Manager software only if they exceed a threshold set by the user:
The E3Manager software allows to set two thresholds for each value.Threshold max and min threshold which are constantly compared with the values retrieved counters:

• Threshold max (S max): An event is triggered if the counter value exceeds the maximum threshold,
• Threshold min (S min): an event is triggered if the counter value falls below the minimum threshold.

By setting both a value for Smax and Smin, the user has the possibility of setting a tolerance level to avoid repetitive alerts and without major object.

yes   Interest: Visualization of event data helps identify a potential problem, with a set of precise values around the event (6 to 10x more data).

Travel in the past Memory function

E3 DataStation data concentrator has a "memory" feature that allows it to transmit data prior to the event!

Once a threshold of event is exceeded, the DataStation E3 transmits data prior to the event  (10 'data Fmax or 60 data LRL), to the software E3Manager, in addition to the data collected during the time of the event.

yes The past data recovery software allows the user E3Manager to know precisely the status of actions before the occurrence of the event and thus to have a valuable diagnostic aid.

Evant management

The DataStation E3 is able to generate two types of events:

Events due to malfunction of systems:

The DataStation E3 is capable of generating an event in case of breakdown in communication with an element of the system (meter, power measurement, input / output module, etc.).
The event is triggered if the DataStation E3 is not able, for a given time, to recover the data from the malfunction element.
  • When connected continuously, the event is transmitted to E3Manager software.
  • When not connected continously, the event is stored in the memory of the DataStation E3 and automatically referred to E3Manager software as soon as the communication is established through an automatic synchronization mechanism.

Event due to threshold crossing

The DataStation E3 is capable of generating events if thresholds is exceeded over a specific value.
The time between the threshold is exceeded and the event generation can be set from the software E3Manager with an adjustment range from 0 to 60 seconds.

yes This variable is useful to eliminate false threshold overruns generated by interferences or transients, as the engines start.
